Who controls your data
KAR Alloys, Ireland, is the controller of personal data described in this policy. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to info@kar-alloys.ie.
Information we collect
If you email us, we receive the information you provide. This may include your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, vehicle make, model and year, desired wheel size and style, budget, notes, photographs, and correspondence.
The enquiry form works locally in your browser and opens a prepared message in your email application. The website does not transmit or store the form entries. Your email provider and ours process the message when you choose to send it.
Our web server records technical access information, which may include your IP address, request date and time, requested page, browser identifier, referring page, and response status.
How and why we use it
We use enquiry information to respond, research suitable products or services, check vehicle compatibility, prepare options and pricing, arrange purchases and delivery, provide agreed services, and maintain relevant business records.
We process this information to take steps at your request before entering a contract, perform a contract, meet legal obligations, and pursue our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business. Server logs are used to deliver, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website on the basis of those legitimate interests.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising trackers, third-party fonts, profiling, or automated decision-making.
Sharing and transfers
Where necessary to handle an enquiry or order, relevant information may be shared with sellers, suppliers, couriers, fitment or installation providers, and payment or professional service providers. Data may also be processed by website hosting, network, backup, and email providers, or disclosed to public authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal data.
Some suppliers or service providers may be located outside the European Economic Area. Where data protection law requires it, we use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism.
How long we keep it
Web-server logs are normally retained for up to 14 days. Enquiry, order, and service correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the request, provide services, resolve disputes, protect legal rights, and comply with accounting, tax, or other legal obligations. Retention therefore depends on the nature and outcome of the enquiry.
Your choices
You do not have to provide enquiry information, but without relevant contact and vehicle details we may be unable to respond, research fitment, or provide the requested service.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
To exercise a right, email info@kar-alloys.ie. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records.
Updates
We will update this policy when our processing changes. This version is effective from 9 August 2026.
